Dolores Gonzalez Haro was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 7, 1963. She is an El Monte resident, her family came to El Monte
in the early 1920's. She grew up in an area called Hicks Camp it was one of 7 Barrios in the city. She is a Member of La Historia
Society Museum in El Monte. The Museum exhibits the photos of the families from the 7 Barrios and it's Mission is to Preserve
the History of those Families.
She lives and works in the city of El Monte. Her occupation is a Health Clerk for Mt. View School District for 20 years. Her job
gives her the opportunity to work with many students, parents and Administrators.
Dolores is also an Artist, she began with Self-Help Graphics in 1997, at that time she was introduced to many Artists and has
had the opportunity to be part of many Exhibits displaying her work.
Dolores also finds time to teach others to paint, she works with watercolor on paper and acrylic on canvas. Her students enjoy
painting still life, portraits and landscape images.
Her favorite image to paint is Our Lady of Guadalupe. She finds peace and solitude in her work.
